Refund & Returns Policy

Thank you for shopping at HERLIV. We take great pride in our curated collection of antiques and vintage design. Because our items are unique and often have a history, we have established the following refund & returns policy to ensure a fair and transparent process for both parties.

1. Return Period

You have the right to request a return within 30 days of receiving your order. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it.

2. Vintage & Antique Condition Disclaimer

Please note that most items at HERLIV are vintage or antique. By nature, these items may show signs of wear, age, or “patina.”

  • All items are sold “as-is” based on the descriptions and high-resolution photographs provided.
  • Minor imperfections that were visible in the product photos or mentioned in the description are not considered “defects.”

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Perishable goods (such as magazines, books, or flowers).
  • Intimate or sanitary items (if applicable).
  • Hazardous or flammable goods.
  • Gift cards.
  • Customized or altered items (items modified at the customer’s request).

4. How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please contact us at [email protected] with your order number and the reason for the return. Once your return is accepted, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your package.

5. Shipping & Costs

  • Return Shipping: You are responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • Liability: We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance for you returns. HERLIV is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.
  • Packaging: Items must be returned in packaging with equivalent protective materials (e.g., bubble wrap for fragile items).

6. Refunds & Inspection

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you via email.

  • Approval: If approved, your refund will be processed automatically to your original payment method within 14 days.
  • Partial Refunds: A partial refund may be granted if an item is not in its original condition, is damaged, or has missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

7. Exchanges (Defects & Damages)

If your item arrives damaged, please contact [email protected] within 48 hours of receipt with photos of the damage and the packaging.

8. Gifts

  • If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return.
  • If the item wasn’t marked as a gift, the refund will be sent to the original gift giver.
